With PP Heather and Rtn Joe on Leave of Absence and having received apologies from PP Russell, PP Stewart and Assist Sec. Bryan remaining members gathered at the home of Pres. Noel for fellowship and fine food, wine and productive discussion.

Youth Service: PP Noel S has been looking through the list of projects we have supported previously and is prioritising these to ascertain future commitment.

Community Service: PP Graeme attended Shire of Campaspe cheque presentation evening to receive the FARSE grant. Graeme was pleased to find that several Rochester community groups were present at the event to receive similar grants.

The final mail-out of information relating to this year’s FARSE to be held on Tuesday 19th August has been distributed to local and district schools. Following up on information received at District changeover, Graeme has contacted breathometer corporation regarding possible support.

ROADEC: Rochester Secondary College has booked 8 days during September so that all Year 11 students may complete the Course.

Vocational Service: PP Ray discussed a number of ideas, from great speakers to visit to business premises, for bringing Vocational Service to the forefront of Club activities.

Court House: The wrought iron work from the roof has now been powder-coated and will be reinstalled by the tilers when they return to clean the roof.

While still awaiting a quote for the kitchen, PP Ray has updated information required by Heritage Victoria before they release the final payment of the grant.

Ray is to submit a full financial statement of Court House expenditure.

The Club will accept an offer from Victoria Police to remove the garden shed from the Police Residence, however after inspection, the garage was found to be not suitable for our needs.

Changeover: A highlight of the changeover was the was the presentation of a Paul Harris Recognition to Moira Lewis. Moira has been a staunch supporter of the Club for many years raising funds for “Shelter Box”and then “Disaster Aid Australia”.

President Noel thanked all for making  the  Changeover such a successful occasion. After all expenses

relating to the event have been finalised it

is expected that a small profit will be realized. The

proceeds from the raffle will be forwarded to

Australian Rotary Health, the preferred charity of

DG Murray.
