Following the traditional opening conducted by President Heather during this, her final meeting for this

year, we welcomed Rotarians Russell Anderson, Graeme Nelson, Bryan Griffiths, Noel Schier, Stewart

McDonald, Ray Lewis and Noel Lucas, Partners Jeanette Nelson, Pam McDonald and Robyn Lucas and

guest Sharon Herne.

We missed the company of Rotarian Joe Flynn. We wish Joe all the best in the coming months and hope

for a very successful outcome for his impending surgery.

Treas. Russell will be looking after attendance records and meals-on-wheels roster during Joe’s Leave of

Absence.

FARSE: $2800 has been received from The Shire of Campaspe as their contribution to the running of the event.

Changeover: All is in hand for the Club’s annual changeover to be held on Sunday. Members are asked

to help with the setting up of the venue from 1.30pm on Saturday.

Reports:

Sec. Bryan reported on the official opening of Stage 1 of the Echuca Hospital while Pres. Heather and

PP’s Graeme & Noel commented on the DG’s Changeover held on Sunday afternoon.

Court House Garden: Sharon, a keen sustainable gardener presented several ‘mud maps’ setting out

proposals for a garden area suitable for such a beautiful heritage building. Sharon envisages shade areas

with outdoor seating, paved areas with roses and hedged borders along with a new front fence. Sharon is

to prepare scaled drawings once she has been given details of measurements of the driveway and bus

shed.

Members thanked Sharon for her interest in the project.

Pres. Heather, in closing her final meeting for 2013-14 thanked everyone for their assistance throughout

the year and Bryan for agreeing to continue Secretarial duties during Heather’s time in Timor Leste.
