Emails and cards have been received from a number of those who had attended, complementing the Club on its 50 years of service to the Ideals of Rotary. What a surprise for Robyn, Joyce, Florrie & Russell when they realised Jo Buchanan from RC Melbourne was Jan Rogan, a former teacher from their days at Rochy High!
Thanks to editor Eamonn Tieman for his report of the 50th Anniversary celebrations that appeared in this week’s Campaspe News..
Pres. Noel & Treas. Russell gave a report on the financial outcome of the event. While a number of books had been pre-ordered, several were sold at the Luncheon. Copies have been presented to the Rochester Library and to the Historical Society. The Library has purchased an additional copy to be placed in the borrowing section while the Historical Society will place further copies of the Rotary Club of Rochester History in its book for purchase section.
