Pres. Bryan welcomed Rtns. Heather, Gay, Noel S, Noel L and Ray and Partner Robyn.  Apologies were received from Rtns. Stewart & Graeme & Rotary Partners Pam & Jeanette.

August: Membership and New Club Development Month

 We are always hopeful!

 Meanwhile Ray, as Club Service Director & Gay, Foundation Director are to meet to discuss ways the Club may promote membership through the work of the Foundation.

 FARSE: The meeting of 11th August will see members packing show bags.  Heather & Noel have revised the site plan so that it can be sent to schools prior to the event. Contingencies are in place if the ground remains too wet. Town flyers are ready to be sent out, ads and articles prepared for the local news and arrangements made to talk to regional radio.

 Sec. Heather attended Monday’s Probus Meeting, thanking members for their continued support of FARSE. With several activities planned for the remainder of the year, Probus members are anxious to fix a firm date for the proposed trip to Brim.

 Court House: With the installation of the air-conditioner, the warm atmosphere was enjoyed by all present. PP Ray reported that the Secondary College students have almost completed their designs for the upper door section leading to the kitchen,

 PP Noel & Robyn reported on their participation as judges at the Lions Junior Public Speaking Competition. Students from Rochester Primary, Nanneella Estate & St Joseph’s took part in the two sections of the competition. All students are to be commended for the manner in which they presented their speeches. Winners for both the 3/4 and 5/6 sections were the Foley siblings, Hannah and Elijah from Nanneella Estate.
