 June: Rotary Fellowships Month                                                                                                           Rotary Fellowships range from Amateur Radio to Yachting with everything in between. One group who share a common interest is the RWAF. The objective of this group, the Rotarian Wine Appreciation Fellowship is to learn more about wine, wine and food pairings and any other topics related to the appreciation of wine so that our own appreciation of good wine will be enhanced. We will accomplish that by sharing our own knowledge and experiences and by learning from the many wine experts and knowledgeable Rotarians throughout the world.

 On Thursday 23rd June, PE Bryan, in chairing his first meeting, welcomed Rotarians Heather, Graeme, Ray, Noel, and Stewart along with Rotary Partners Jeanette & Pam.

Rotary Club of Rochester Changeover Luncheon and Induction of President Bryan and Board of Directors was held on Sunday 19th June                                                                                                                                                                             We were pleased to welcome guests from a number of clubs throughout D 9800, representatives of Probus, Lions, The Rochester Fire Brigade and the Rochester Business Network along with DGE Neville John & Rebecca, PDG Gordon McKern, PDG Iven Mackay & Marilyn, AG Greg Noonan & Kathy and AG Therese McKenney who took the role of MC

Highlights of the afternoon were the presentations of the Presidential Citation, the 20 Year Service to Rotary Certificate to Rtn. Ray Lewis and the 47 Year Service to Rotary Certificate to Rtn Noel Lucas and the presentation of a cheque to The Rochester Fire Brigade. Guest Speaker Toby Acocks entertained and informed those present of how his selection as a Group Study Team member has influenced his life choices.

 

 

This was the first formal function to be held at the Court House since the restoration works have been completed, and Members present at Thursday’s meeting commented on the positives & negatives of the venu
