April: Maternal & Child Health Month
In working to improve the health of women, particularly in developing countries, governments face a monumental challenge. Limited resources, insufficient training, and poor infrastructure are just some of the obstacles to advancements in the field of female medicine. It is a goal of Rotary International, a worldwide association of service-minded business and professional people, to facilitate efforts to bring medical care to women and girls and to help them to build all-around healthy lives.
Pres. Noel welcomed Rotarians Heather, Gay, Noel, Bryan & Ray and Rotary Partner Robyn along with Heather’s grandchildren Charlie & Jasmine who were spending the evening with Grandma as Dad & Grandpa were busy sowing ahead of the expected rain.
Apologies were received from Rtns. & Partners Graeme & Jeanette and Stewart & Pam who were promoting ROADEC at a meeting of the RC Kerang LOA: Rtn. Russell
