News from Ainaro:

PP Heather has completed her first week of teaching in Ainaro, catching up on aspects of English

grammar that have not been taught formally in Australian schools for probably the past 50 years.

There have been a few changes in Ainaro since Heather’s time there in 2012 notably a lot of new

buildings and many Government buildings that have been relocated and replaced. Unfortunately little

work has been done on the roads and the main road from Dili to Ainaro is even worse than it was two

years ago.

Last weekend Heather and Carmel walked to Nugafu, passing Ainaro’s water supply and the aquafa.

Their journey took them through dense rain forest with lush green trees and ferns growing in the valley.
