On a warm spring Movember evening, Club Secretary / Vice President Heather, in the absence of President Noel welcomed Rotarians Gaye, Graeme, Ray, Stewart, Noel Schier, Bryan Griffiths. Partners of members,-Pam,Jannette.

ROADEC Chairman, Community Director, Graeme had pleasure reporting to members a new confirmed booking for a class at the complex in 2016.Hopefully this is a sign of increased classroom activity at ROADEC this coming Calendar year.
INTERNATIONAL Director Stewart, reported his attendance on behalf of Rotary Club of Rochester at a function conducted by the Shire of Campaspe recognising the work of community volunteers, in particular their work in supporting the continued operation of Meals on Wheels . A community project the Club has been involved in since its inception in the town of Rochester. Stewart was supported in his attendance by partner Pam, along with Robyn, partner of President Noel. Item two on Stewarts list was the suppling of details relating to the Annual Christmas dinner function,
Venue– Jaengenga Function Centre, Pianta Road, Torrumbarry. Date- Saturday 12th December. 12.00 noon. $25 pp. Numbers to be confirmed at coming Board meeting.
Partaking of the evening meal Rtn Stewart advised members of Item 3 on his list. Thursday 26 was International Cake Day, thank you to Pam for preparing, baking and suppling a most enjoyable cake, this being devoured along with enjoying a cup of coffee following the meeting.
Secretary Heather advised members of her efforts in assembling and entering a Christmas Tree entry on behalf of Rotary club of Rochester, in the Annual Rochester Christmas Tree Exhibition conducted by the Anglican Church of Rochester. Thank you Secretary Heather.
Rtn Gay, Uniting Church Minister, advised members that the Annual Christmas Carols function would be conducted on Sunday 6th Dec , commencing at 6pm in the Shire Hall. All are most welcome to attend.
Courthouse Project manager, Vocation Director Ray, was pleased to report to members progress in a forward direction of approval of the required Building permits in the Courthouse present . finalisation of these necessary permits will allow completion of outstanding committed works.
Assistant Secretary Bryan, presented to members Shop in Rochester ruled notepads, supplied by member for Murray Plains, Hon Peter Walsh MP. It is hoped that Peter will be a Guest Speaker at a Dinner meeting in the early weeks of 2016.
Rtn Bryan advised / reminded members of his upcoming participation in the departing December 3rd World of Difference tour, to Cambodia. Supported by District 9800, this is a continued effort in the work that has been commenced in recent years to assist the village people in need, with a major focus on the young.
As such Bryan will be an apology for the next two Dinner meetings of Rotary Club of Rochester. Being one of twenty participants in this tour, as a first time overseas traveller it will certainly be a World of Difference experience. We look forward to reports from local students, friends and Rotarians on the tour. Interested people may follow the tour via Face book ,internet site. type – World of Difference .
