January – Vocational Service Month One of the central goals of Vocational Service is to promote and advance Rotary’s high ethical standards. Two useful tools Rotarians have to assess these standards are: The Four-Way Test and The Declaration of Rotarians in Business and Professions.
Pres. Noel welcomed Rotarians Heather, Noel, Gay, Stewart and Graeme along with Rotary Partners Pam, Jeanette and Robyn.

The Rochester Planning Group is hosting an informal evening to facilitate networking opportunities between Rochester Community Groups and Organisations. This function is to be held on Thursday 25th February at “Rumors Bistro” Rochester Hotel commencing at 7.30pm. It was agreed that members would attend this function in lieu of the regular meeting. The Board Meeting scheduled for that evening will now be held on February 18th.
Show Society: Members are reminded that they will be required for “gate duty” on Friday 26th February.
Australia Day: Sec. Heather reported on the successful outcome of events organised by the Rochester Australia Day Celebrations Committee. Australia Day Ambassador, Paul Wheelton was most impressed with his tour of the town and those present at the Flag Raising ceremony appreciated the friendly down to earth manner in which he delivered his address. At the conclusion of his address, Paul presented Mayor Leigh Wilson a framed collection of the medals of Australian Honours to the people of Rochester. This will be displayed in the Rochester Shire Service Centre.
A member of the Rotary Club of Box Hill, Paul has offered to purchase 2 murals from Mural Fest for presentation to the RC Rochester. Thank you, Paul.
ROADEC: PP Graeme reported that a Committee meeting is to be held in the near future. A group from Bendigo has booked a class during the first week of the 1st term holidays.
International: PP Stewart has been investigating a possible itinerary for the Vocational Training Team as we await further information from ADG Greg. Stewart also reported on recent contact with John McCossen, team leader of the Irish GSE team of 2004.
An invitation has been received to join with RCs of Echuca Moama and Central Melbourne Sunrise for a social event to be held on Sunday 20th March,
Reminder – Keep this Date Free: Pie & Port Night is back again in 2016 and will be held at the Court House on Saturday, 7th May.
