Volume 50 Bulletin 31

Important: Please make sure you contact PP Russell by Mid-day Thursday if you will be attending.

Russell’s email is: suttoncourt@bigpond.com.au

Next Meeting: 19th February at Rochester Wine Bar – this is a Board Meeting so please have all reports prepared.

Pres. Noel welcomed Rotarians Heather, Stewart, Russell, Graeme and Bryan along with Rotary Partners Pam, and Robyn and guests, Sharon Herne and Pam’s sister Joy

Apologies were received from PP Ray.

A reminder from Treasurer Russell: ½ yearly subs are now due.

Sorry for the lack of a bulletin last week as Pres. Noel was taking a mini-break in Mildura and Rtn. Bryan had not been supplied with the required template.

Fundraising: Thanks to all who assisted at the Bunnings BBQ on February 7th. A profit of $579.31 was taken on a slow but steady day.

Court House: The floor has now been sanded, varnished etc. and looks great. Internal electrical works including the fitting of new power points and the installation of a new switchboard unit will be completed next week. Now that goods stored in the toilet block have been removed it would be appreciated if members could make some time to do a little cleaning. On Monday a group of students from the Secondary College will be helping tidy the grounds while assistance has also been offered by the Festival Committee. Thanks to John Moon who spent several hours last week levelling the footpath area.

Mural Festival: Heather and Robyn have been preparing the photographic display and have commenced the compiling of a “Let’s Promote Rotary” display to be housed in the front room of the Court House. As part of the Photographic Exhibition, members of the Campaspe East Timor Association will be selling traditional handcrafts at the display.

Court House Garden: Thanks to Sharon for presenting the additional information and estimated costings for paths and mobility access that she has prepared for the planned garden area. We will now be able to seek grant monies to carry out this work.

Youth Service: Information regarding the application process for the 2016 National Youth Science Forum has been received and will be passed to the Year 11 Co-ordinator at the Secondary College.

Campaspe Shire: It was pleasing to finally receive a letter from Shire of Campaspe regarding two matters that occurred some months ago.
