Meeting Venue: Rochester Wine Bar Guest Speaker: Robert Edgar

President Heather welcomed Rotarians Graeme Nelson, Bryan Griffiths, Noel Lucas, Ray Lewis, Joe Flynn, Noel Schier and Stewart McDonald, guests Pam McDonald, Robyn Lucas and Jeanette Nelson. We missed the company of Russell Anderson.

Grace was said by Noel Schier and the Toast proposed by Joe Flynn.

Prior to the commencement of the meeting, early arrivals joined with Sec. Bryan in watching the webinar programme “Enhancing brand understanding and trust, plus strategic partnerships.” Some interesting discussion took place especially as to conference fees.

Winery Tour:

A tour of district vineyards is planned for Sunday 16th March. Gather up friends and colleagues for a great day.
The number of participants will determine the cost of the tour. Stewart & Pam have taken the opportunity of having a preview of what is offered in our local region and are planning a “tasters’ delight”.

Parking Duties: Members are to provide parking assistance at the Outdoor Cinema to be conducted at the Elmore Events Centre on Saturday, 8th February. Part of the City of Greater Bendigo Summer in the Parks programme, the movie “Frozen” will be featured.

Members are asked to report for duty at 5.00pm

Movie Night Fundraiser: The combined Rotary Clubs of Bendigo will be hosting a special preview of “The Monuments Men” at the Bendigo Cinemas on Wednesday 19th February.

Tickets are available at Central Deborah Gold Mine or phone 03 5443 8255.

Treasurer Russell reminder: Half Year membership subscriptions of $130.00 are due.

ROADEC: Members viewed the DVD produced by PP Noel L. Much worthwhile discussion ensured and suggestions made as to how this may be edited to provide a marketing tool to promote ROADEC. Don’t forget to put ideas in writing so they may be acted upon.

Gerard Tao and Ollie Xue, Melbourne University Bio medical students will be attending next weeks meeting. This is an opportunity for the students to learn more of our rural community and of the organisations that are vital for the community’s well being.
